Note

William F. "Buffalo Bill" Cody (1846-1917) and his famous Buffalo Bill's Wild West Show joined forces with Barnum & Bailey's Greatest Show on Earth in 1895. Barnum & Bailey Ltd. agents managed the highly successful European tour of the Wild West Show from 1902 -1906. Following the death of James Bailey in 1906, the circus was purchased by the Ringling Bros. Often in financial difficulty, Cody sold the Wild West Show in 1913.
