Dial marked, "Aaron Willard Boston," the case door with églomisé panel depicting the USS Constitution vs. HMS Guerriere in the War of 1812.

H: 40 in. W: 10 1/2 in. D: 4 in. (including eagle finial)

Note

Elnathan Taber (1768-1854) was an apprentice of the Willards', and produced his own works in Roxbury, Massachusetts after his apprenticeship.

Property of a Florida gentleman, formerly of Glen Cree, Kennebunkport, Maine

The consignor's colonial style home, Glen Cree, was featured in the magazine Colonial Homes, November-December 1985, and much of the collection was photographed.
