Possibly Yueyao, finely potted, the compressed spherical body lobed and applied with a spout and curved handle, raised on a short lobed foot. NOTE: This form is more commonly seen in Longquan celadons of the Southern Song dynasty, however, these are typically more robustly formed and less refined, such as the example illustrated in G. St. G. M Gompertz, "Chinese Celadon Wares", London, 1980, p. 165, no. 83A. See also "Chinese Celadons and Other related Wares in Southeast Asia", Singapore, 1979, pp. 196-197, nos. 158-160, and the Longquan example from the George and Mary Rockwell Collection at the Johnson Museum of Art, Cornell University, #80.113.010.
