Both chests with brass pulls; the larger chest with lift-top and lower drawer, containing glass bottles, vials, mortar, and other accessories; the smaller chest with numbered glass bottles corresponding to interior paper label listing ingredients, inscribed "The Family Medicine Chest" and patent registered "May 9th, 1881"; many glass bottles retaining original paper labels and some retaining ingredients.
