9 in. x 12 3/4 in. (sight)Rizpah E. Eye married Charles Dunlap in December of 1833 in Portland, Maine.
Provenance: The Grant Collection, New York
Hand-written note on verso, "This picture belonged to Deborah Stanwood and was painted by a schoolmate Rezpah E. Eye whose name appears on the face of the picture. It is not a fine work of art but valuable on account of the associations. It is painted on velvet. Deborah your grandmother was born Feb. 12th 1798. The picture was painted about 1813 I presume."
