The first, embroidered with multicolored flower and stem; the second and third pairs, with multicolored geometrically patterned bands; the fourth embroidered with circle and feather motif; and the fifth, a child's pair with geometrically pattern band.

L: 11 1/4 in. (longest)

Provenance: The Luther R. and Frances T. Zehner Collection.

Purchased in 1950, most are accompanied by handwritten notes, with names of makers, including: Mrs. Matilda Vaulters, Mrs. Nellie Wear Horn and Julia Kills Crow.
