Each of circular form, the banded oval rim punctuated by stylized anthemions joined by scrolls, the sloped edge of the central well with pinched darts topped with applied buds, the underside inscribed, "M.C.T. 1902."
Diam: 9 3/4 in. Weight: approx. 342 1/2 troy oz.The design of these plates is the same as a set of twelve made in 1895 for John Pierpont Morgan as described and illustrated in Charles H. Carpenter, Jr.'s Tiffany Silver, New York: Dodd, Mead & Company, 1978, pg. 82, fig. 86.
