Diam: 7 1/2 in.According to the Tennessee Civil War Soldiers Index, Samuel J. Kirkpatrick was a Confederate First Lieutenant in the 2nd Regiment of the Tennessee Cavalry; whereas Solomon H. Hendrix was a Union Hospital Steward in the 1st Regiment of the Tennessee Cavalry.
