The first very large, both decorated with panels of figures alternating with panels of flowers and insects.
Diam(s): 18 1/4 in. and 14 1/4 in.Provenance: Estate of Mr. and Mrs. William R. Wister, Oldwick, New Jersey.
The largest punch bowl in the lot descended in the Wister family to the present owners and was probably used at the Wister family ancestral home, Grumblethorpe, in Germantown, Philadelphia, now a National Historic Landmark.
