Frame shows Spanish firing proofs and extractor indicate the parent gun was a Star Model B. Maker mark to right slide reads LA FRANCE SPECIALTIES/TEMPLE CITY, CA. U.S.A. with model mark to the left reading LS NOVA. Serial number preceded by B on the butt. Hammer spur has been cut down, consistent with La France Nova series handguns.
