The two young men represent Hose Co. 1, as indicated by the "1" that each wears on their shirt and the "1" on each helmet. They each wear a belt with the numbers " 1865" (surface abrasions including few near lower left corner as well as edges). -- Cabinet card of a young man, possibly a lawman, wearing a badge on his coat and holding what appears to be a nightstick. He holds a revolver in his hand, and a shoulder holster can be seen on the chair in front of him. Photographer unknown (toning, some soiling, top edges of print slightly trimmed and mount corners trimmed). -- Cabinet card of a police officer standing in a studio, wearing a badge on his coat, with what appears to be the handle of an edged weapon tucked in his belt.
