In overall fine and stable condition. There are a few scuffs and scratches throughout consistent with age, use and handling. The front legs of the chairs have scratches and a darker patina. One chair with a one inch scuff on the backside of the chair back. The varnish is warm and consistent with a slight patch of fading on one chair's proper left armrest. Both chairs have a tag underneath the seat reading "Dunbar Berne, Indiana"
The seat cushions on both chairs are missing several buttons.
