In overall good and stable condition. The seat surface and the underside of the feet with light scratches and wear consistent with use and placement. Two instances of visual scratches on the top surface are noticeable but not distracting from the overall piece. The hardware is clean and intact, and there are no breaks, losses or repairs evident. One end of the seat shows what may be the beginning of an age split, but it does not readily affect the function or aesthetic. The piece has a manufacturer's plaque on the underside reading "Butterfly Stool | Sori Yanagi Original Design 1954 | Authorized Reedition © 2002 | Vitra Design Museum"
The physical condition of lots in our auctions can vary due to age, normal wear and tear, previous damage, and restoration/repair. All lots are sold "AS IS," in the condition they are in at the time of the auction, and we and the seller make no representation or warranty and assume no liability of any kind as to a lot's condition.
