Provenance:
Acquired directly from Nakashima Studio, circa 1955
In overall good and stable condition. The chairs feature no signature or manufacturers brand or label. The consignor acquired these directly from the Nakashima Studio c. 1955, no paperwork is included with this lot.
The chairs retain a consistent and warm finish throughout. The corded seats are visually consistent. Minor scratches, stains and wear are present consistent with age and use. Small water stains are present along the seat frame tops. One chair with a small red mark on the upper seat back. One chair with two broken cords that do not affect the seat function. One chair with a minor loss at the bottom front proper right leg, visible in the image on with the orange metal shelf.
Overall an attractive and consistent set. Would benefit from a light cleaning within the corded seats.
