.308. 20" barrel length. SN: G15965. Parkerized metal finish overall set in a walnut semi-pistol grip stock with half length upper handguard and mounting folding rifle grenade launching sights. Semi automatic tilting bolt locked gas operated rifle utilizing the direct gas impingement principle and fed by detachable box magazines. Sight consist of an adjustable rear aperture and front post with protectors. Item mounts a synthetic cocking knob, and a rubber recoil pad to the butt. Left receiver features the standard French dovetail cut for mounting optics. Model and manufacture markings read MAS MLE 1949-56/CAL. 7.62/.308 with a boxed G82 marking. Importer mark to the dovetail rail reads CAI ST ALB VT FRANCE. Rifle mounts a leather sling with illegible production stamps. Comes with one magazine. Marking reading P620745 is scratched into the barrel band.
