Simple blowback operated DA/SA autoloading pistol fed by detachable single-stack magazines. Item mounts adjustable target rear and Patridge front blade sights with an elongated spur hammer, combination safety/de-cocker, and threaded muzzle with knurled thread protector. Markings to the pistol include Made in West-Germany to the left frame with the slide featuring the {WALTHER} banner followed by Carl Walther Waffenfabrik Ulm/Do./Modell PP Sport Cal. 22LR. German {Eagle/N} commercial proofs appear on the right frame, left slide, and on the breech face with the latter mark next to the {Antler} proof and 68 date code indicating it was made in 1968.
