Provenance:

The Right Rev. Bayne, in the mid-twentieth century Bishop of the Episcopal Diocese of Olympia and First Executive Officer of the Anglican Communion, acquired this painting in the late 1950s or early 1960s during his many travels abroad. It hung in his apartments in London and New York City until he died in 1974, and then was removed to Seattle when his widow Lucie returned to the West Coast to be closer to family. It has been in the Bayne family ever since.
