Page 3 of the newspaper reports on an uprising of enslaved people in Demerara (Guyana) on the northern coast of South America. The uprising was put down by the White Europeans and 30 enslaved people were executed for their part in the rebellion. This issue also contains news of William Paca, a signer of the Declaration of Independence from Maryland, being appointed by President George Washington as a Federal judge for the State of Maryland.
