The chair is in delicate condition. There are several splits to the carved wood surfaces including to the backsplat and the seat rail. The legs and backsplat are at least partially detached from the seat rail. The webbing that supports the springs and horsehair stuffing within the seat apparently is partially detached though not visible beneath the scrim. The back proper left leg has traces of old glue from a repair beneath the scrim. The green silk damask upholstery is stained and torn in places. The nail heads are corroded.
