One case corner initialed JVE in addition to being signed J. G. SCHLICHTIG. 

The commode is in very good condition overall and presents well. The marble top is intact and there are no apparent repairs or losses. There is a 1 1/4 inch area of lifting veneer to the skirt near the back right leg. The mounts have been re-gilt. The drawers slide easily. The fronts of the two lower drawers are slightly warped, causing the left side to protrude approximately 1/4" and the right side to indent approximately 1/4" from the case, but this does not distract from the overall presentation.
