According to family lore, the cabinet was previously thought to have 17th century elements. Upon lengthier inspection, it is more likely to be an early 20th century cabinet; possibly some of the linenfold panels are older. The back boards look 19th century, as do some of the carved elements. The hinges and metalwork are 20th century.  Scratches and surfafce wear on the medial shelf. Otherwise fine, sturdy condition with minimal wear.
