.58 caliber. 28.5" octagonal barrel length. SN: NSN. Bright metal finish. Walnut stock has a rococo style carved grip, cheekrest, and carved thumb rest to right side. Wheellock action rifle with filigreed sterling silver two leaf folding notch rear sight and brass blade front sight. Item features heavily detailed carved elk antler fittings overall depicting various grotesque characters and scenes. Forend cap and triggerguard are cast sterling silver. Lock was manufactured by Bosch and is carved with a equestrian scene. Cheek rest shows an ivory or pearl fitting carved MM FrauenWald Verloren. Included with item is a brass tip wood ramrod and two head attachments in patchbox.
Very good. Bore is bright, with some clusters of oxidation toward mid-barrel. Finish has a slight brown patina developing behind rear sight. Wood stock is in good condition. Action is functional.
