Good to Very Good. Bore is Bright with sharp rifling throughout. The metal finish displays edgewear overall along with some abrasions and scuffs on the forend cap, muzzle, and the barrel bands. Brown patina is forming over the upper barrel band with the middle one dominated by gray. The muzzle end of the barrel has some further patches of brown patina. The stock displays handling wear, mars, and scratches overall. A pattern of dents has formed at both flanks of the receiver and along the wrist. Stock additionally shows some stains on the butt. The buttplate shows some abrasions and mars along its length. Scope shows edgewear with some flakes to the paint over the eyepieces and flecking of the finish along the body. The mount shows a brown patina overall. The No 8 scope case has flaking to the paint on all edges along with some discolorations and mars. The wood chest lid has multiple large losses along the edge with some chipping and scratching to the remainder of the exterior. Traces of the original paint remain on the lid and the box flanks. The textile liner along the inside surfaces remains with some moth holes and some patched losses at the right side. The leather carry handles are cracked and show some wastage to the leather. Two replacement leather tabs have been installed inside the case to retain the lid. Leather sling shows some white residue from mold cultures along the inner surface matching that of the scope cover.
