In overall fine and stable condition. Retains a fairly even finish and patina throughout. Scuffs, marks and scratches consistent with age and use. Age cracks to the top panels and few other areas. Few scattered areas of minor veneer patches.  Few areas of minor veneer lifting.  Some loss to the ivory mounts in few areas. Cracking visible to the leather writing surface, which may be an early replacement. The legs show a history of having been previously fitted with hinges, but they have been secured with iron brackets and the areas that would have been exposed have been patched over (This is likely an early repair). Given the work done to the legs, the stretcher is likely a later addition. The pigeonhole drawers, while likely early, may be replaced given how aesthetically different they are from the rest of the desk.
