The screen presents well for age and use, but there are some issues to note. The leather hinges are stiff and becoming brittle in several areas but they remain intact at the time of writing. The varnish on the painted surface is yellowed and there may be inpainting in several areas, but this does not distract from its overall presentation. There are multiple holes in the screen, largest measuring approximately 5 inches. There are losses, crazing, and lifting to the lacquer throughout the back of the screen. Modern hardware has been attached to the top edges for hanging. We do not have provenance for the screen.
