Housed in a pressed paper case with patriotic embossment on front cover (discoloration and significant wear throughout). -- Ruby ambrotype seated portrait of a bearded, doubly armed cavalryman grasping his 1840 heavy cavalry saber with one hand and wearing what appears to be a Savage Navy revolver in his belt.
