典型近代廣作,通體紫檀,床面巨幅獨板,用料靡奢。三面圍屏雕四時花卉,牙板靈芝葡萄博古圖,玲瓏浮凸。兩側與底足刻回紋。包漿濃郁,沉穩大器。
現藏家陳氏伉儷醉心於蒐集中國古典家具。十二年前購得此床,源自華府水門公寓飛虎隊將軍陳納德與陳香梅夫婦故居。此床應是使用家具之一。藏家致信陳家次女陳美麗,知悉台北陳宅客廳確有此床,原擬贈予路易斯安那州陳納德博物館,未能成行。故為此床再觅有缘人。
陳納德二戰功績,世人耳熟能詳。陳香梅宦海巾幗,輔佐八任總統,中美台穿梭,是近世爲數不多能在三方都説得上話的人物。想當年陳宅往來的政商豪客,想這張床上坐過的梟雄嬌娥,還不值得出手競標麽?
Overall good, stable and complete condition, the wood well polished, some old scuffs, scratches and mark to the wood consistent with age and use.
