This jacket was worn by Nena Ivon, Fashion Director of Saks Fifth Avenue Chicago for a Carolina Herrera personal appearance held at Saks Fifth Avenue Chicago.
A native Chicagoan, Nena Ivon retired from Saks Fifth Avenue Chicago after 53 years where she was the longest-tenured employee. She began her career at Saks Fifth Avenue while still in high school. Her first assignment was a sales associate in the Debutante Sportswear department. Ivon was promoted to Assistant Fashion Director then Fashion Director. Ivon held the position of Special Events/Publicity/Fashion Director for 50 years. Ivon produced all the fashion shows and special events for the Saks Fifth Avenue, Michigan Avenue store as well as assisting in many of the companies store openings and events across the country.
Ivon worked with over 150 of the leading fashion designers and style icons of the 20th and 21st century during her tenure at Saks Fifth Avenue. Including Norman Norell, Adolfo, Emilio Pucci, Pauline Trigère, James Galanos, George Halley, Bill Blass, Bonnie Cashin, Christian Lacroix, Diane Von Furstenberg, Victoria Beckham, Christian Siriano, and Carolina Herrrera amongst dozens of others. Today Ivon resides in Chicago and remains active in the industry.
This lot contains one jacket by Carolina Herrera, pants are not included.
Collarless jacket in black and navy tweed with embroidery and beaded starburst embellishment at the front. Hook/bar closures line the center front. Fully-lined. Made in Italy.
Condition:
The overall condition is very good. Very light signs of wear, one hook missing from the center front closure.
