Provenance is unknown. The owner acquired them at an auction in New York but can't remember where or when. Please request a condition report.

The pair appearing in overall fairly good and ready to place condition. Both exhibiting areas of tarnish throughout; would benefit from cleaning. Each with a pattern of minor surface scuffs and scrapes, commensurate with age, use and polishing. The bases are slightly out of round, causing the candlesticks to wobble ever so slightly. One of the candlesticks with the candle cup sitting slightly off level, this is not immediately noticeable. The other example with a minor dent to the foot rim and to the body. Polish residue to to recessed decoration of both examples.
