Includes a winding key and pendulum. The right pin takes a wind, but the left appears to be overwound. The hands can be manually advanced but there is no evidence of the hammer attempting to strike the chime at the hour or half-hour. The works appear to be intact and likely just need to be serviced. The carved wood case with a deep, glossy finish. It does not appear to have been stripped, but has likely had a later coat of oil or polish applied. The deer's front leg has been broken off below the knee and modestly glue-repaired. There are a few very minor chips along the edges of the case. The carved elements otherwise intact and free of significant chips or losses.
