After four decades at Chanel, Lagerfeld earned a legacy as a creative force that reinvigorated the heritage label, infusing it with postmodern playfulness while honoring its roots. Equally versed in the languages of popular culture and the craft and traditions of couture, a combination described as ‘high fashion and high camp’, Lagerfeld’s reinvention of the brand and marketing savvy created a voracious appetite among young buyers, sealing the fate of the iconic double CC logo into this century’s visual lexicon.
The jacket, skirt, and shell are made of a white cotton-blend boucle. The jacket and skirt are lined with white cotton, which is also used in the body of the shell. The jacket has a fold down collar, sleeves cut in one piece with the front and back of the jacket, four pockets with buttoned flaps, and a center front zipper and silver-tone chain closure. The skirt is cut with a waistband and closes with a zip. There is a CC logo silver-tone metal piece at the hip. The shell is sleeveless with the boucle around the neck and sleeve opening and closes at the center back with buttons.
