The service appears in overall decent and ready to place condition. All items with moderate scuffs and scratches commensurate with use and handling. Many of the spoons and forks in the service with sections of wear to the reverse. In these areas (primarily the back of the handles and the base of the bowl of the spoon or base of fork tines) the silver plate has worn away to reveal the base metal.
Three of the small knives have with dents and dings to the handles. One of the large knives exhibiting tarnish and water spots to the blade. There is one large knife that is dented to the handle and one large knife with a gouge loss to the blade and heavy scratches in the same area.
Four of the large forks have their tines bent slightly out of shape. Many of the tines with nicks and scrapes from use. The bowl of the ladle has a few minor nicks to the rim. Some of the larger spoons have a duller/ flat finish in the bowl of the spoon. Two of the small spoons have wear to the silver plate (exposing the base metal) to the interior of the bowl. One of these small spoons also exhibitng a dent to the tip. The tongs with surface scratches.
Condition reports are available upon request. All lots are sold “as is,” in the condition they are in at the time of the auction.
