This work was photographed in 1860 by Bingham for Goupil & Cie., Paris. Known today as the Cabinet du Roi and as Le Salon de Louis XV, the interior and medals depicted in this painting are in the care of the National Library of France.
Framed: 31 1/2 x 35 1/2 inches.
Surface dirt and dust; scattered areas of craquelure; rubbing and small areas of loss at edges from frame rabbet; hairline horizontal cracking and scratch along edge in upper right quadrant, each approximately 4 inches in length; overall good and stable condition. Additional images available by request.
