Appears in overall decent condition. The case with damage to the lid where the proper right side has torn away. This torn section is affixed to the front of the box where the latch and lock are located. The case was likely previously torn to gain access to the contents. There is a key inside that fits the lock. 

The case is marked Cartier in small gold letters to the front. The shoe horn, mirror, button hook, nail file, brushes, cased perfume bottle, pill box, and four of the lidded glass containers are marked Gorham and Cartier. 

The shaving kit and comb are marked Gorham. The monogramed lidded glass container is marked Sterling. The cigar/toothbrush holder and scissors are  unmarked, the pocketknife bears English hallmarks. 

The silver items with light surface scratches commensurate with use and gentle polishing.

The mirror with oxidization to the silvering behind the mirror and the reverse moderately tarnished. The button hook with heavy tarnish to the handle. The silver powder case with a dent and a ding to one side. The comb is cracked and loose and there is adhesive residue visible. One of the lidded glass containers with a chip to the glass cap concealed by the silver lid. The blades of the scissors are rusty. The pocketknife with oxidization/ residue to the blade. The interiors of the glass bottles with dust, residue, and surface deposit. Additional images available upon request.
