Sturdy and largely original condition. The left side column on the upper case is loose from its dowels and needs glue repair. There are small areas of repair on the sides of the lower edge of the upper case. A few negligible age cracks and other minor discolorations and wear from use and moving. The bookcase separates into three parts: cornice, upper section, and lower section. The finials ar not readily removable, but if they were to be removed they would reduce the height by four inches. The inside depth of the upper section is 11 inches.

Top section: height 66 1/2 x width 75 1/2 x depth 15 3/4 inches.
Bottom section: height 35 1/2 x width 74 1/2 x depth 19 1/4 inches.
Width of each cabinet door (top and bottom): left and right doors 20 1/4 inches; middle 19 7/8 inches.
