Width at widest 15 inches. Both in overall good and stable condition. Each exhibiting patterns of craquelure throughout body and with some areas of inconsistent thickness to glaze causing a pink-ish hue. Some minor firing irregularities and few instances of chips along both feet, one lid with a small chip to edge. Examination of the jars under UV light shows no noticeable evidence of retouch or repair. The lids are likely later replacements, as they appear to exhibit a later glazed surface under UV light as evidenced by a lighter coloring and mostly lack the same craquelure pattern as the jars, with exception to the knob handle on one lid which glows with the same dark purple as the jars and which has some craquelure. This knob suggests originality based on these features and the style of its decoration which is a closer match to the jars' than the rest of either lid.
