Height of covered vegetable dishes 6 1/2 x width 13 x depth 8 1/2 inches.
In overall fairly good and stable condition throughout, with scattered instances of surface grime and deposit, and firing pits. One vegetable dish with significant rubbing to gilt decoration at the finial on the lid and the handles, the finial also with small instances of loss to glaze. The other vegetable dish with less but still noticeable loss to gilt decoration at finial on lid, rim and handles. The handles with minor instances of roughness or loss to glaze. The decoration at the center of the dish having some white slightly sticky surface deposit. Examination under UV light shows no evidence of significant restoration or repair to either dish. The plates with varying degrees of light wear to paint decoration and several with minor retouch to central images, evidenced under UV light. Have likely been re-glazed. Few examples with amber/rust-colored deposit to the underside, one with a larger instance. Several with one, two or three small chips or flakes along the rim, one with a slightly larger section of loss therealong. Additional images available upon request.
