Frame: 23 x 18 1/4 inches. Acquired from a gallery in Paris, France, circa 2000; name of gallery not known. 

There is a crack through the entire vertical length of the picture about 1/3 from the right edge. That crack is cradled on the back of the board and probably has a small amount of overpainting along the crack. There is an approximately 3 1/2 inch scratch or abrasion in the upper right corner that might be overpainted. There is a small area of possible overpainting to cover flaking paint along the right edge. Slight craquelure throughout, heavier in the red. The whole surface probably varnished in the 20th century and fluorescing slightly as a result under UV light. The frame with two cracked sections at its bottom corners exposing gesso. One section loose and needing repair.
