In overall fine and stable condition. The clock takes a wind, chimes and runs, but unsure of the accuracy of the movement (with associated winding key). Appears to retain the original weights and pendulum. Cables have been replaced with modern string. Retains a fairly even, refinished patina and surface throughout.  Old scuffs, marks and scratches consistent with age and use.  The side finials show age and are likely original, but the central finial appears to be a more modern replacement. Age cracks visible in areas consistent with shrinking of the substrate wood.  The works appear to be original to the case given that they fit well within the frame of the hood, however, the saddleboard is replaced, so impossible to be certain. Side aprons and a few of the glue blocks to the feet are replaced. Craquelure and areas of rubbing to the face.  Areas of touchup visible to the edges of the face, and likely some touchup to the moonphase dial and calendar dial. Few small areas of veneer loss or patching visible. The top 3 inches of the pediment were previously removed and then later reattached, likely to accommodate low ceiling heights.  The proper top left side of the hood is replaced, approx. 2.5" in height, through the depth of the hood.  The glass of the hood appears early but may be replaced, as the grout holding it in place appears to be a white plaster with an applied pigment.  Other repairs to the hood door visible, including some screws added to the upper hinge area and the opposing corner reglued to the inside of the door. A few small losses visible to the hood door around the glass.
