Quarter plate daguerreotype portrait of a man wearing a top hat, posed next to his young daughter. (Some spotting, clouding, and rubbing to plate, oxidation to mat and preserver; unsealed, under mat, glass, and preserver only.) No case. -- Quarter plate daguerreotype half portrait of a somewhat grizzled man wearing what appears to be a hat with pinned up earflaps. (Heavy oxidation and spotting to plate, spotting to mat; original seals.) Housed in a figural Union case, Cupid and the Stag [Berg 1-28] (heavy soiling, nicking to edges). -- And 14 others, including 2 quarter plate daguerreotypes, 7 sixth plate daguerreotypes, one ninth plate daguerreotype, 2 sixth plate ambrotypes (one possible modern, with another image on verso), and 2 sixth plate tintypes, many without full cases. -- Together, 16 assorted images of subjects with hats.
