Sixth plate view of a building identified as Hotel Franklin in Vermont. (Tarnishing to edges, spotting and oxidation throughout plate, spotting to mat and preserver; unsealed.) Housed in a pressed paper case. Inked note attached to velvet pad reads, "Hotel Franklin Vt. Where Ellen E. Manson was born Sept. 20, 1846. Her father Orin Manson 'kept the tavern.'" Penciled note in back of case notes that the photograph was taken by "S.F. Wheeler, Franklin, May 19 1854 / J.W? Manson." -- Quarter plate view of a lone church building with towering steeple. (Tarnishing to edges with significant deterioration throughout image; unsealed.)
