Frame: 72 x 50 3/8 inches. Canvas is lined with a striped fabric, scattered areas where canvas is pulling away from lining, particularly at top of canvas where separation runs across the top of the work. Craquelure throughout with some areas of flaking and loss to paint. Larger area of flaking and loss to left side of canvas and at bottom center. Two larger holes in canvas at bottom center and bottom left with surrounding flaking and loses to paint. Examination under UV light shows area of restoration to canvas at left edge in the crown and just above figure's outstretched arm. Fluorescence commensurate with overpainting visible on figures outstretched hand and in scattered other areas around canvas. Work would require significant conservation work to be made "gallery-ready". Additional images available upon request.
