In overall fairly good and stable condition. The lid of the wood case slightly warped so that it does not sit fully flush with the base when closed, having an age crack to the top face of the lid along the top-most edge and at edges, and exhibiting surface dents marks and scratches to the case surface throughout commensurate with age and handling. The case is lacking a key.
The flatware having some dark surface grime that transfers to skin when handled. The tines of each fork and blade of each knife marked for silver-plate and exhibiting tarnish throughout; the handles unmarked, and showing some sign of rose-colored discoloration from tarnish on few examples. With minor rubbing to gilt decoration on the handles of most examples. The handle of one knife with damage, another knife exhibits repair to the middle of the handle where it was previously broken in two pieces, some glue residue visible along the break and the bottom-most portion is slightly misaligned from the repair.
