Condition:

THE FIRST
The overall condition is fair with minor creasing throughout, wear to the edges of the belt, primarily along where the belt holes are, and a small picked thread on the opposite side.

THE SECOND
The overall condition is good with slight creasing and discoloration on the end with the belt holes as well as some exposed glue towards where the belt separates into two.

THE THIRD
The overall condition is fair with small holes, creasing, and discoloration to the end of the belt with the belt holes.

THE FOURTH
The overall condition is good with only slight wear surrounding the belt holes.

THE FIFTH
The overall condition is good with very faint scratches throughout.

THE SIXTH
The overall condition is good with very faint scratches throughout.

Mr. Long has nearly 20 years of experience as a curator of fashion and decorative arts in museums including the Museum of London, the Museum at the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York, and the Chicago History Museum. Mr. Long’s recent publications include Charles James: Designer in Detail and a chapter on the same designer in London Couture: British Luxury 1923–1975, both published by V&A Publishing.
