This early Kingdom of Hawaii broadside announces an auction of damaged wheat from the ship Othello taking place on 11 October 1867. A New York Times article dated 2 November 1867 reports that the ship Othello sailed from port on 17 July with a full cargo of wheat bound for Liverpool, but put into Honolulu on 27 September with leakage and was forced to discharge her cargo.
