Scott") by Major General Henry Lee Scott, son-in-law to General Winfield Scott (last names are by coincidence). Henry Lee Scott, who was married to Winfield's daughter Cornelia, served as his father-in-law's aide-de-camp throughout the Mexican War and continued in the role until the Civil War.
