The underside of the frog is inscribed with a walking 'NU' pot, the hieroglyphic symbol for "bring." The color and material used for this amulet were fabricated in the royal workshops at Amarna during the reign of Akhenaten. For a similar amulet of the same composition, see the Cleveland Museum of Art (Inv. no. 1980.123).
