Two Chinese Banded Agate Snuff Bottles

清中期 纏絲瑪瑙素面鼻烟壺
the first of compressed flask form, worked from a honeyed stone with an even white band bisecting the bottle laterally, rose quartz stopper; the second a slightly smaller example of rectangular form with beveled edges, the grey stone streaked with white, caramel, and lavender, agate stopper.
Height of taller bottle 2 3/8 in., 6 cm.
