K of the 34d Iowa Infantry. Records indicate that he was enlisted as a sergeant on 21 May 1861, was promoted to first sergeant on 1 December 1861, WIA (severely in the shoulder) at Shiloh on 6 April 1862, transferred to Co. G of the 23rd Veteran Reserve Corps on 15 February 1864, and mustered out on 10 June 1864 in St. Louis, MO. -- And 2 others. Together, 7 photographs, condition generally good, except as noted.
