With over 15 years of professional experience in the art industry, Thomas B. McCabe IV is a Senior Vice President at Freeman’s, serves as the head of Business Development and directly oversees the firms Trusts & Estates, Private Sales and Museum Services. In addition, Mr. McCabe helps manage our Private and Corporate Collections departments, sponsorships, events, website and online bidding functions and is a member of the Freeman’s management team.
As head of Trusts and Estates, Tom is charged with enhancing its exceptional service our firm has provided to the national Trusts & Estates community for over 200 years. He has worked with numerous clients helping them achieve great results with timely and accurate reporting. The firms Trusts and Estates team services many estates all over the country and continues to grow in reputation as one of the leading auction firms to process estates.
In addition to estates, Freeman’s provides expert service for private and corporate art collections. Mr. McCabe is responsible for overseeing the team’s handling of a collection and achieving top results for every item.
Following his graduation from Trinity College, Hartford, where he majored in Art History, Mr. McCabe earned a Masters in Art Business from the Sotheby’s Institute. Tom is a board member of The Philadelphia Society for the Preservation of Landmarks and is an active member of the Philadelphia Museum of Art, The Barnes Foundation and The Franklin Institute.
